History
Barnens hopp was founded in 1996 in sollentuna by Agneta Bergström. During the first years, we collected necessities and money to be sent to various orphanages in Eastern Europe. Since 2001, we have focused mainly on Ukraine.
In 2006, the travel industry fund for children Barnfund acquired a property in Reni which then was transferred to Barnens hopp and became the Novy Dom family home. Agneta moved to Reni in 2008 to manage Novy Dom and stayed there until her passing in January 2022.
